Renewal of the Cooperation between the Greek and German Public Employment Services

DYPA and the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (BA), namely the Greek and German Public Employment Services (PES), signed a new Cooperation Agreement on June 5th, 2025, in Warsaw, Poland, thus sealing the renewal of their ongoing strategic partnership. Vanessa Ahuja, Member of BA's Executive Board, and Spiros Protopsaltis, DYPA Governor, signed the Cooperation Agreement on the sidelines of the recent European PES Network Board Meeting in Warsaw.

Enhancing DYPA's international presence and partnership building, the new Cooperation Agreement is focused on exchanging know-how and best practices with a view to further upgrading public employment services. The cooperation renewal constitutes an extension of the first two cycles of successful cooperation between the two PES, which started in 2022 within the framework of the Greek-German Action Plan.

In this new phase, the two PES agreed to reinforce their cooperation in such fields as:

  • Digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence
  • Future skills development
  • Jobseeker activation and enhanced inclusion
  • Unemployment Benefit system reforms
  • PES staff continuous training.

DYPA remains committed to further strengthening its international partnerships so that it can collaboratively address labour market challenges at the European level and utilise innovation for better services.

DYPA Governor, Spiros Protopsaltis, stated: “Our strategic collaboration with Bundesagentur für Arbeit is one of the key pillars of DYPA’s extroversion. Through the new Agreement signed in Warsaw, we intend to further strengthen know-how exchange, mutual learning, and our overall responsiveness to the ever-changing labour market needs. This cooperation effectively supports us in investing in our human resources, upgrading our services and reinforcing institutional channels of communication and cooperation with one of the most experienced European organisations in the field of employment."
